Great shoe

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Really nice for my feet, and I find these an excellent combination of comfortable but still very precise, great on edges and small holds as well as cracks.

This is my first pair of °°real°° climbing shoes and I was not prepared. Having only worn very soft shoes in the year I?ve climbed, the sole felt pretty rough putting them on. The little slings on the heel make it very easy to put on though. The laces make it easy to tighten only the part of the shoe that needs it (I made the first half pretty loose and the second super tight to lock my heel in place). They felt super painful at first, but I didn?t know that you?re apparently supposed to get the same size/half a size as your own but in MEN?s size. For example, I?m a 9?1/2 in US women and got size 8 US men (the equivalent of size 9 USw), thinking they would be just slightly smaller but nope. My toes were all curled and rubbing on the interior, which was... suboptimal. However, since the gyms are closed now in Canada, I have been wearing them during my online classes to break them in and they?re getting better by the day, so I?m hopeful my feet won?t tear apart by the time I?m bouldering again. Also since they?re leather, they?re supposed to stretch, so I might be fine ? I would probably get street size for multi pitch stuff, but I?m not there yet so I?ll tough it up for now. From what I?ve seen (trying to use them on my home gym equipement a bit), they are stiff enough to stand on bolts, but soft enough that your feet are working too. The curved front is good to place your weight on your big toe/edge and I know the rubber on this is KILLER for slabs. The stiffness/rubber is also going to be great for crack climbing. Overall pretty good except for the sizing surprise, hopefully even better by the time I can actually climb ! Btw I have only climbed indoors as of now
